One Match. One Estimate.
Zero Spam Calls.
Every roofing lead platform floods your phone with competing contractors. FindMeARoofer works differently β one pre-vetted contractor, matched to your specific project, within 24 hours. Here is exactly how the process works and what we require of every contractor before they can be matched to a homeowner.
How Does the FindMeARoofer Process Work?
FindMeARoofer connects homeowners with one pre-vetted roofing contractor in five steps β from the 60-second submission through project completion and warranty documentation.
Submit Your Project in 60 Seconds
Enter your ZIP code, select the service type, and provide your contact information. FindMeARoofer immediately checks your area against the active contractor network and begins the matching evaluation.
We Identify Your One Match
FindMeARoofer evaluates every active contractor in your area against five criteria: your specific service type, the contractor's verified specialization, their current availability, their geographic service range, and their 90-day performance score. The single highest-qualifying contractor for your project is selected.
Contractor Contacts You Within 24 Hours
Your matched contractor calls or emails within 24 hours to introduce themselves, confirm your project details, and schedule the free on-site estimate. For emergency requests β active leaks, storm damage, structural failure β contractor response is typically 1β4 hours.
Receive Your Free Written Estimate
Your matched contractor performs a thorough on-site assessment and provides a written itemized estimate covering every component of the project β materials with manufacturer model numbers, tear-off and disposal, permit, flashing, ice shield scope, deck replacement provision, and workmanship warranty duration.
Approve, Schedule, and Get It Done
When the estimate meets your expectations, approve the work and the contractor schedules your project. Materials are ordered, the building permit is pulled by the contractor, the crew completes the project, and you receive written warranty documentation at completion. FindMeARoofer remains available throughout if any issue arises.
What Does Every FindMeARoofer Contractor Have to Prove?
Seven non-negotiable admission criteria. Every single one verified against primary sources β not self-reported, not assumed. Contractors who cannot verify all seven are not admitted to the network. Contractors who fall below these standards during a 90-day review are removed.
Minimum 4.8 stars across Google, BBB, and verified third-party platforms. Scores are pulled directly from source by FindMeARoofer β not self-reported by the contractor. A contractor with a 4.79 average does not qualify.
Minimum 50 reviews across verified platforms before eligibility. Review volume, recency distribution, and response patterns are all evaluated. Contractors with inflated review counts from review farms or a cluster of reviews with no recent activity do not qualify.
Active Better Business Bureau accreditation with zero unresolved complaints. Accreditation status alone is insufficient β complaint history is reviewed. Any contractor with an open unresolved BBB complaint is excluded regardless of their rating.
Minimum five consecutive years of documented business operation β verified against Secretary of State registration, contractor licensing records, and BBB establishment date. Newly licensed operations and out-of-state storm chasers are excluded by this criterion alone.
License number verified directly against each state's official licensing portal: Wisconsin DSPS (licensesearch.wi.gov), Minnesota DLI, Michigan LARA, Chicago DOB for Illinois, and county-level registration databases for Indiana. An expired license disqualifies immediately, regardless of the contractor's explanation.
General liability ($1M+ per occurrence) and workers compensation insurance documents must be submitted directly to FindMeARoofer and verified with the issuing carrier. A contractor-provided certificate of insurance alone is insufficient β we call the carrier. Coverage gaps or lapses disqualify immediately.
Network standing is reviewed on a 90-day cycle. Any contractor who drops below 4.8 stars, receives an unresolved complaint, allows their license to lapse, or fails an insurance renewal check is removed from the active matching pool. Standards apply throughout the relationship β not just at admission.
The result: when FindMeARoofer matches you with a contractor, you already know they are licensed for your state, insured to $1M+ per occurrence, BBB accredited, have maintained a 4.8+ rating across 50+ reviews, and have been operating continuously for a minimum of five years. You are not evaluating a stranger β you are selecting from a pre-cleared pool.
Why Does FindMeARoofer Send You One Contractor β Not Five?
Every other lead platform distributes your contact information to multiple competing contractors simultaneously. This is why your phone rings repeatedly after submitting any roofing quote request online. FindMeARoofer is built on a fundamentally different premise β one match, carefully selected.

What Do Homeowners Say About the FindMeARoofer Process?
"I've used two other roofing lead services before. Both times my phone rang nonstop for a week from contractors I'd never heard of. FindMeARoofer sent me one contractor. He called within a few hours, showed up when he said he would, and the work was done exactly as quoted. That's it. That's the difference."
Christine B. β Brookfield, WI Β· Roof replacement Β· April 2026
"I was skeptical that a 'free' matching service could actually send me a quality contractor. The contractor FindMeARoofer matched me with had been in business 18 years, showed me his license and certificate of insurance on the first call without me asking, and the estimate was itemized line by line. I didn't need to shop around β the vetting was done."
Robert A. β Naperville, IL Β· Storm damage assessment Β· March 2026
"Emergency situation β active leak during a storm. Submitted at 9pm and had a contractor call me back at 10:30pm. He was on the roof the next morning. The fact that he had to meet FindMeARoofer's standards to be on the platform meant I wasn't letting a stranger on my roof in an emergency β I was letting a verified professional."
